What is your plan or vision for Council?
My aim is to bring the community along on an engaged journey whereby we all develop the strategic direction for the future of Stonnington.
Heritage, lifestyle, character and the creation of open space are all very important aspects for us to focus on as part of a collaborative Council. I have a keen interest and value highly the wide range of sustainability initiatives undertaken across the City and recognise that they contribute to our valued lifestyle.
My high level, strategic thinking, heritage expertise, open-mindedness and engaging personality will all contribute to my ability to make positive changes for the whole community.
I have a strong sense of optimism about what we can do together as a Council and look forward to working together to achieve wonderful outcomes.
What do you love about Stonnington?
I have been a resident of Stonnington for more than 40 years, firstly in Malvern where my parents and older brother still reside, then in Prahran and now in Armadale.
I enjoy the cosmopolitan inner city feel of South Ward. One thing I enjoy doing is going for an early Sunday morning walk in the neighbourhood with my partner, and saying hello to fellow residents and meeting new residents. That is what I call community.
The City of Stonnington acknowledges that we are on the traditional land of the Boonwurrung and Wurundjeri people and offer our respects to the elders past and present. We recognise and respect the cultural heritage of this land.
