Background on New Planning Fees

Following a review of Planning and Subdivision Fees by DELWP, The Governor in Council made new planning and subdivision fee regulations on 27 September 2016.

These regulations set the fees that can be charged by local councils for the services provided under the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and Subdivision Act 1988 to an appropriate level of cost recovery. The new fees will apply from 13 October 2016.
