Planning is underway for the new Prahran High School.

The site for the new school is located on the former Swinburne University campus on High St in Prahran, and will be able to accommodate 650 students. Prahran High School will provide a standalone co-educational 7-12 school for the Prahran community.

Principal design consultant Gray Puksand have been appointed to design the facility.

In November the Minister for Education invited community members to an event that focused on the proposal for Prahran High School.

The information evening, which was held on Monday 9 November 2015, included leading specialists in their field that spoke about the educational and architectural possibilities for inner city schools, including the planned Prahran High School.

Members from the South Melbourne Park New School Planning Group and Richmond New School Planning Groups attended on the night. An update on plans for the establishment of the new Prahran High School was also provided.
