Comedian Colin 'Lano' Lane hosts Melbourne’s best-loved free carols concert, featuring a stellar cast of performers including Michael Cormick (The Phantom of the Opera), Amanda Harrison (Wicked), Fem Belling (The Voice; The Boy from Oz) and Luigi Lucente (Jersey Boys). Bring along a picnic and celebrate Christmas under the stars with a spectacular riverside fireworks display.

Please note: Frank Woodley was originally programmed to host Carols at Como Park but has withdrawn due to unavoidable circumstances. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Colin Lane
 
As the 'Lano' from Lano & Woodley, Colin Lane was one half of Australia's favourite comedy duo. They won comedy's Oscar, the Perrier Award, and their series, The Adventures Of Lano & Woodley played in more than 30 countries. In 2006 they said 'goodbye' with a tour that played to 125,000 people in 34 towns. Since the farewell tour, Colin has toured to cabaret and comedy festivals around Australia, and has become a regular on a wide variety of Aussie TV shows including Spicks and Specks, Thank God You’re Here and UK fave QI. A new season of his Cup of Tea With Col chat show recently debuted on The New Daily website, and he is currently working on a new live comedy/opera project with acclaimed tenor David Hobson.
     
Amanda Harrison   Amanda Harrison has theatre credits spanning three continents, including performances in the USA, the UK and Australia. Amanda made her professional debut playing Jenny in Aspects of Love. Other theatrical credits in Australia include: City of Angels; Sunset Boulevard; Les Miserables; Miss Saigon; The Boy from Oz; Leader of the Pack and We Will Rock You.  Amanda is most well known for her award-winning performance as Elphaba in the Australian production of Wicked.  In 2012 Amanda created the role of Paula in the world premiere of the musical, An Officer and a Gentleman.
     
Michael Cormick   Michael Cormick is an accomplished actor and singer of international standing. Michael’s Australian Theatre credits include The Narrator in Blood Brothers, the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, Daddy Warbucks in Annie, the Australian tour of The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Mamma Mia, The Rocky Horror Show, Cats, Joseph, Falsettos, Eureka, Sunset Boulevard, and Knicky opposite Dannii Minogue in Grease the Arena Spectacular. Michael’s TV credits include Reef Doctors, Sea Patrol, City Homicide and Prisoner.
     
Luigi Lucente   Luigi Lucente is an up and coming star with credits on both the screen and stage. In 2015, he received critical acclaim in the title role Dogfight at the Hayes Theatre. Luigi has also appeared in the premiere of Parade (The Collective), the 40th Anniversary Australian tour of The Rocky Horror Show, Pippin, Assassins, The Last Five Years, Wicked, Jersey Boys and Guys & Dolls. His screen credits include roles in the US mini series The Pacific, Neighbours and the soon to be released feature, Spirit of the Game.
     
Fem Belling   Fem Belling began her Musical Theatre journey in South Africa. Crossing the seas to London, Fem appeared on West End Theatres in Hairspray - original West End cast, she performed for Her Majesty The Queen at the Royal Variety Show, Austentatious, Fame, Footloose, Annie Get Your Gun and Debbie Does Dallas. Her Australian credits include the role of Liza in The Boy from Oz, Genesis to Broadway and her own show Dear Blossom. Winner of 5 FNB Vita Theatre Awards and a Best Show Olivier Award, Fem has made a name for herself as a jazz vocalist and violinist in the Melbourne Jazz scene. Most recently, Fem turned all 4 chairs on The Voice Australia.
