Bring your furry, scaly and feathered friends to Central Park for a day of entertainment, competitions, information and demonstrations. The main stage features live music, pet parades, presentations and an array of stalls will offer the latest pet products, health tips and information on responsible pet ownership.
Channel Ten’s Mike Larkin returns as host this year and will be joined by Lort Smith Animal Hospital’s Russell Harrison for a special pet Q&A.
Proud owners can show off their pets with the ‘Best Trick’ competition and those that bear a particular resemblance to their pets can also enter the ‘Best Look-alike’ competition.
For dogs with two left feet, Cynder and That Dancing Dog will teach dogs and their owners a few things about dancing.
The Victorian Pet Obedience Club will be on hand to help owners train their pets and the German Sheppard Club will put pets to the test with agility training.
Other event highlights include The Roo Keeper’s Mobile Zoo, introducing native Australian wildlife including dingoes, snakes and even crocodiles to adults and kids alike.
Pets in the Park is held in conjunction with Chadstone/East Malvern Rotary Club Family Fun Day and Sounds of Stonnington featuring local school choirs, dance troupes, carnival rides, great food and community displays.
