Applications for the City of Stonnington’s annual Arts and Cultural Grants Program open on 1 February 2017. City of Stonnington Mayor Cr Jami Klisaris said the funding supports arts and cultural projects and programs to be staged within the City of Stonnington in the 2017/18 financial year.
“The program is an important way to foster artistic talent and get the community engaged in activities in Stonnington,” she said.
“This year, we’re looking for applications from organisations and art based initiatives that want to present high quality, dynamic and innovative Stonnington-based activities to enhance the cultural and economic development of our City.”
“We encourage initiatives that enhance the quality of life and wellbeing of Stonnington residents but also support the local economy by attracting visitors to the area,” added Cr Klisaris.
This financial year, Council has allocated $415,000 to support Stonnington’s thriving arts and cultural organisations through the grants program.
Artists considering applying for a Stonnington Arts and Cultural Grant are encouraged to attend an information session:

All art forms are welcome including, but not limited to, performing, visual, and music, literature, film, design as well as festivals and community events. Applicants do not have to live in the City of Stonnington to apply, however the project or activity must take place within the municipality. These can be presented independently or as part of a Stonnington event.
