Bus Hire

Community groups in Stonnington can apply for three types of bus hire:

  • Self drive mini bus hire: Short term hire of a mini bus (seats 1 driver and 9 passengers). Driver must be supplied by the group..
  • Day trip: Hire of a large bus (seats 17 passengers) for a day trip or outing. Driver is supplied by Stonnington Community Transport. Applications must be made in September/October for the year ahead. Availability is limited.
  • Regular weekly service use: Regular transport services to and from programs attended by community groups.


The cost for each type of hire varies.

Please note: Day trip applications are processed in September/October each year for the year ahead. Applications for day trips in 2016 have closed.

Applications for day trips in 2017 must be submitted between 1 September and 31 October 2016.
