Community Transport Services are available for residents who may find accessing public or private transport difficult, including:
- people aged 55 years or older
- people with a disability or high level of frailty.
An assessment is conducted prior to the service commencing.
We provide regular transport to and from:
Passengers are picked up from their homes and assisted on and off the bus when needed.
In most cases, passengers are able to bring their walking frames and support equipment with them.
All of our buses are wheelchair accessible.
For services to shopping centres and libraries, passengers are totally independent for the duration of the visit and are responsible to find their own way home if they fail to meet the bus at the designated time.
Therefore, these services are best suited to people who need basic physical support to get to a shopping centre or library, but are able to manage independently and without unreasonable personal risk while there.
A small fee of $2.90 is charged for services to shopping centres and libraries.
