Reconciliation Draft Action Plan 2017 - 19

Council’s draft Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2017 – 2019 has been developed in consultation with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and Traditional Owners, as well as the wider community.  Council is looking for feedback on the draft RAP until the end of September.

The Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) intends to honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history as part of the local community’s connection with Indigenous Australians history and culture whilst building a strong and respectful future.   Stonnington’s draft RAP 2017 – 2019 directly connects with Council’s stated values and the principles of respect, building relationships and developing opportunities. The draft Plan’s aim is to build on Council’s previous achievements and to further develop relationships between the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, Council and the wider Stonnington community.
