Food Complaints

Council's Environmental Health Officers investigate complaints made in relation to food and food premises.

Complaints that can be investigated by the Environmental Health Unit include:

  • food poisoning
  • food adulteration
  • poor food handling practices
  • unclean and unkept food premises
  • unregistered food businesses

All complaints are treated as confidential and if contact details are left, you will be kept informed of the progress of the complaint.

All food and food premises complaints should be reported to Council's Environmental Health Unit on 03 8290 3393.
