Liquor Accord
The City of Stonnington Liquor Accord is a voluntary commitment by licensed premises to best practices in and around licensed premises in the Chapel Street precinct.
Stonnington Liquor Accord Forum
At the Stonnington Liquor Accord Forum on 23 February, the updated Accord Action Plan will be launched. Keynote speaker is Dr Belinda Lloyd, Senior Research Fellow from Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre.
Dr Lloyd will speak on trends in licit and illicit drug use and harms in Melbourne. There will be a panel discussion, question time and an opportunity to network.

By signing up to the Accord, members can benefit from being part of an organised group addressing localised needs particular to licensees in your area, positive public perception associated with adopting and demonstrating responsible practices, and access to major interest groups via regular communication, and the provision of information and tools to assist you in better managing your venue.

Stonnington Liquor Accord Agreement
The Liquor Accord Agreement has been revised and was endorsed by Council on 20 April 2009. The Agreement contains member commitments and benefits. It also includes an Action Plan. The purpose of the Action Plan is to help maintain and improve the safety in the City's entertainment precinct.

The Liquor Accord aims to:
- Encourage and implement best practice in the management of licensed premises
- Promote responsible standards of behaviour by patrons and protect their safety
- Maintain high standards of behaviour in and around licensed premises
Licensed Premises have regular meetings to discuss issues such as Responsible Serving of alcohol, amenity, security issues, managing noise and public safety issues.
