WalkWalktobertober

Walktober is an annual national campaign run throughout October that aims to increase walking. It is a month of activities that celebrates walking, and a great opportunity to create some ‘buzz’ amongst the community.

The City of Stonnington is encouraging community groups to host a walk during Walktober, to encourage individuals and groups to walk and to connect with places and people in their neighbourhood. Holding a walking event is also is a good way to create awareness of your community group, business or service.

Malvern Weekly Walkers

The group meets every Wednesday at 9 am at Malvern Central Shopping centre, Wattletree Road, Malvern.

The brisk one-hour walk, roughly 5-6 km, covers many of the surrounding streets of Malvern, including the Malvern Public Gardens. Walkers are then invited for a chat and a coffee at Lagom Restaurant on Glenferrie Road.

This is a fun activity designed to bring people together for exercise and the opportunity to meet new friends. Please wear comfortable clothing with suitable shoes.
