Commuter Club

The Commuter Club is a Metlink initiative that the City of Stonnington implements to encourage staff to travel on public transport by offering a discounted rate on yearly Metcard tickets. Staff Metcards

Council's Environment Unit has made daily and 2 hour Metcard tickets available for Stonnington staff to use for offsite meetings to further reduce the adverse environmental impacts of single driver car trips.

Sustainable Transport Week

The Sustainable Environment Unit also hosts Sustainable Transport Week - an annual event to encourage staff to travel sustainably. Staff pledge to undertake a sustainable transport action once within a week which coincides with Ride to Work Day. Over 150 staff are involved each year.
