Network Schools
Council encourages teachers and schools in Stonnington that are involved in green initiatives to become part of the Stonnington Green Schools' Network. The group meets once a term at a local school, providing a great opportunity to find out what schools in the local area are doing for the environment.
Being involved in the SGSN will provide an opportunity for teachers to:
- Share ideas with other Stonnington schools;
- Network with other teachers from local schools;
- Be eligible to receive free offers for your school from the City of Stonnington including excursions to the VISY Rethink Education Centre;
- Find out about grants and opportunities available to schools including Resource Smart funding and Council education sessions;
- Receive assistance and support from Council's Environmental Education Officer; and
- Become involved in environmental events and activities provided for schools in Stonnington e.g. National Plant a Tree Day, Stonnington's Sustainable Living Expo etc.
For more information, or to receive an invitation for our next meeting contact Council's Environmental Education Officer via email or Ph: 03 8290 2063.
