The City of Stonnington’s Depot will come alive with entertainment, stallholders, environmental presentations and scrumptious organic food at the annual Sustainable Living Expo.

Throughout the day you can join in the following presentations;

Exhibitors and entertainment

A large range of exhibitors will be on hand to discuss sustainable living including solar products, green cleaning products, sustainable gardening, bike maintenance, native plant giveaway, environmental community groups, a car sharing program plus tours of the Depot will be available. For the kids, there will be face painting, roving entertainment and recycled art mural making.

Interactive presentations including “Ask a gardener” and the “Bike tent” will allow patrons to receive answers to all their tricky questions from experts in the field.

Organic food

Taste a range of organic foods including a sausage sizzle, coffee, and other tasty treats such as organic chocolate!

Transport

Travel sustainably to the expo by public transport or cycling, and go into the draw to win sustainable transport prizes to the value of $600.

 Catch the number 72 tram along Malvern Road, the Glen Waverley train line to Tooronga Station or the number 624 bus to the Stonnington Depot.

Environmental Information Evening: Edible Gardens - Growing Fruit Trees at Home

As part of the City of Stonnington's Sustainable Living Expo we are also holding an Environmental Information Evening in the week leading up to the Expo.

Garden can be relaxing and fun but eating the "fruits" of your labour is one of the most rewarding aspects of gardening.

The best time of the year to plant fruit trees in the winter, so come along to Council's Environmental Information Evening to hear from Sustainable Gardening Australia on everything you need to know about planting, pruning, picking and pampering fruit trees.
