Facilities, equipment and decorations
Lighting
All light fittings in the hall have a dimmer facility installed, which is operated from the stage.
Heating and Cooling
The venue is air-conditioned to provide year-round heating and cooling.
Power supply
There is one, three-phase power outlet located on the stage. There are fourteen power points located in the hall, with one additional power point in the foyer area.
Equipment
The following equipment is available for use without additional fee:
- Flip chart;
- Lectern;
- Whiteboard; and
- Domestic projector screen (approx 2m x 2m).
PA System
A standard PA system with three microphones and stands, a five-disc capacity CD player and ipod jack is available. There are 2 cordless and 2 lapel microphones.
Telephone Lines and EFTPOS Facilities
There are two EFTPOS lines and one telephone line available near the front door. An account for telephone usage is forwarded to the hirer at the completion of the event.
Red Carpet Runners
Red Carpet runners can be provided in the aisles and formal entries:
- 90 cm wide x 12 metres long - Qty available = 1
- 90 cm wide x 24 metres long - Qty available= 1
Stage Curtaining
The house curtains are Royal Blue and Gold in colour, and the rear curtains are Black.
Piano
A Yamaha Baby Grand Piano is located on the stage. The piano can be moved to the hall floor at the hirer's cost, which includes the re-tuning the piano once returned to the stage area.
Chairs
There are 600 green plastic moulded chairs available. There are also an additional 120 Slate upholstered "Romance" Chairs available.
Chair covers are available at an additional cost. Please inform the Halls Department if you need a quotation.
Candelabras
The venue has four, six foot high, five pronged black floor candelabras available for use at no additional charge. Hirers are responsible for supplying candles.
Seating
The Hall seats up to 600 guests theatre-style for concerts, seminars etc. The upstairs balcony seats an additional 147 patrons, with two wheelchair spaces. The set up is 28 chairs across with an aisle down the centre and sides, commencing two metres from the stage. The aisles are 1.2 metres wide.
For functions requiring a larger stage, hirers may arrange a stage extension. This reduces the seating capacity of the hall as follows:
- 1 metre extension = capacity of 522
- 2 metre extension = capacity of 444
- 3 metre extension = capacity of 392

The Town Hall is able to seat up to 474 or 414 people with a 3 metre x 3 metre dance floor. For samples of floor plans please contact Council's Halls Department on Ph: 03 8290 1246.
Please note: Maximum set up requires a combination of 10 and 12 place table settings. Maximum set up with only tables of 10 and a dance floor is 360 guests.
