City of Stonnington Citizenship Ceremonies

The City of Stonnington holds Citizenship Ceremonies through out the year, welcoming residents to Australia and into the Stonnington municipality.

Prior to all ceremonies, Council writes to candidates and provides an extensive information sheet that contains all the information needed regarding the ceremony.

If you are considering applying for citizenship, forms are available from your local Post Office. If you wish to make an appointment to lodge your application visit the Department of Immigration and Citizenship's or call their Hotline on Ph: 131 880.

Next Citizenship Ceremony

Stonnington's next ceremony will be held on Thursday 14 June 2012 at 7.30pm. The venue is the Stonnington City Centre at the corner of Glenferrie Road and High Street, Malvern (formerly known as Malvern Town Hall).

Candidates will be advised in writing by the Department of Immigration that they are to attend this ceremony and they should report to the Registration Desk in the entrance foyer between 6.15pm and 7pm. Candidates must bring photo ID with them - for example, passport, drivers licence. All candidates and their guests must be seated by 7.15pm and candidates must sit in the seat allocated to them.

Guests cannot sit with candidates and guest seating cannot be reserved. The ceremony is followed by light refreshments in the hall for those who wish to stay.
