Community Events Guidelines and Permits

Community events are a vital part of the cultural fabric of the City of Stonnington. Council offers a number of public parks to community groups for the staging of these events.

In order to ensure community events are run safely, the organiser must obtain an event permit. This permit is issued after discussion has taken place between Council and the event organiser.

If you are planning a community event and wish to use one of our venues, read the Festival and Event Guidlines and complete an Event Application Form. Council Events Officers are available to assist and advise you during the application process.

Please note, you will need to book a venue for your event prior to submitting an Event Application Form.
