Home Maintenance Services
The Home Maintenance Service assists clients to maintain a safe and secure home environment. The service is provided by a friendly, skilled team who undertake practical tasks and minor home repairs. The focus of the service is to maintain safety and security in and around the home for our elderly or disabled residents.
Simple tasks like changing light bulbs, installing smoke detectors and replacing batteries, the repair or installation of window and door locks and more. Some tasks like the installation of saftey rails and fittings, hand-held showers, small ramps and other safety and independance aids may be referred to an Occupational Therapist.
Spring cleaning is also offered as part of the Home Maintenance Service and is available to eligible clients twice a year for two hours per visit. This service aims to carry out the tasks that the client would normally only carry out twice a year but due to their own frailty and/or disability are unable to do so. Tasks may include cleaning windows, ovens, dusting in high places, and washing and re-hanging nylon curtains.
