Childcare Centre Enrolment

To start the enrolment process for a Council childcare centre, families are required to ring and make an appointment for a centre tour.

Centre Tour

1. Tour the rooms;
2. Meet the staff; and 
3. Receive a Placement Request Form.

Waiting List

Childcare is then offered in accordance with:

1. Order of waiting list;
2. Places available; and
3. Meeting the age and days families require.

Starting Care

Upon acceptance of a place families are required to:

1. Confirm a commencement date; 
2. Complete an enrolment form; and
3. Begin orientation process at the centre.

Orientation

• Orientation supports the introduction of the child and parent to the centre.
• Visit arrangements must be pre-organised with the centre.
• We recommend you make several short visits before leaving your child for an extended period of time.
• Orientation is important even if your child has been in care before.
