Optional User Pays Vaccines

Booking a User Pays Vaccination

Payment for these vaccines is required prior to attending the Immunisation session.

Complete the applicable request form and submit with payment. How to pay instructions are located on the bottom of the request form. Alternatively, the request forms are available from the Service Centre at Malvern or Prahran Town Halls, or contact Council's Immunisation Officer on Ph: 03 8290 3335.

Chickenpox

  • Infants aged 12 months to 13 years (1 dose) $71*
  • Individuals aged 14 years and older (2 doses, 6 weeks apart) $142.50

* Note: Varicella vaccine will be free to all children turning 18 months of age (born on or after 1 May 2004) from 1 November 2005. Students entering Year 7 from 2006 are also eligible for free vaccine as part of a long-term catch-up program. This will be offered during the school program along with the Hepatitis B vaccine.

Hepatitis A

  • Individuals under 15 years of age (Paediatric formulation 2 doses 6-12 months apart) $102
  • Individuals 15 years of age or over (Adult formulation 2 doses 6-12 months apart) $160

Hepatitis B

  • Individuals under 20 years of age (Paediatric formulation - 3 doses at 0, 1 & 5 months) $151
  • Individuals over 20 years of age (Adult formulation - 3 doses at 0, 1 & 5 months) $228

Hepatitis A/B (Twinrix)

  • Individuals under 15 years of age (Paediatric formulation - 3 doses at 0, 1 & 5 months) $162
  • Individuals over 15 years of age (Adult formulation - 3 doses at 0, 1 & 5 months) $250

Meningococcal C (Neisvac C)

  • Infants aged 6 weeks to 11 months (2 doses, 1 month apart) $170
  • Children aged 12 months (1 dose) FREE
  • Adults (1 dose) $85

Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis - whooping cough (Boostrix)

  • Students entering into Year 10 at school will be eligible for a free booster dose as part of the National School Program.
  • New parents, adoptive parents and foster parents of a new born baby are eligible for a free booster dose until June 2012.  Partners can be vaccinated at any time during pregnancy.  All relatives will not be eligible and will require to pay.
