Phoenix Park Children's Hub
In June 2008 Council made the decision to relocate children's services currently located in Bowen Street to a new purpose built children's hub. The building of a new Children's Hub is complete and can be found at 25 Quentin Rd East Malvern.

Background on Phoenix Park Children's Hub
The Children's Hub at Phoenix Park is a significant improvement over the existing, ageing facilities at Bowen Street and includes:
- Relocation of the existing 2x25 place Fenwick Street kindergarten into 2x30 place kindergarten rooms;
- Relocation of May Armstrong Child Care Centre increasing from 35 places to 60 places;
- Relocation of the existing Fenwick Maternal and Child Health Centre;
- Relocation of the existing multipurpose room at Fenwick Maternal and Child Health Centre, for use by Playgrounds and community agencies;
- Provide a connection with the existing community centre, library, children's adventure playground and the local primary school;
The buildings have been designed using best practice in consultation with the services and Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, to ensure they provide the best environment for children. The design has been developed in consultation with the services and their committees.
