Indigenous Reconciliation
The Reconciliation Action Plan guides Council's Reconciliation efforts. The Plan is under review and the outcomes will be reflected in a new five year plan commencing in 2011.

Indigenous Calendar
The City of Stonnington acknowledges dates on the Indigenous calendar through a variety of events and celebrations.
National Day of Healing - 26 May
National Reconciliation Week - 27 May - 6 June
Mabo Day - 3 June
NAIDOC Week - 3 - 10 July
Stonnington Citizens for Reconciliation
Stonnington Citizens for Reconciliation began in 1998, incorporated in January in 1999, to:
Promote a deeper understanding, respect and harmony between Indigenous Australians and the wider community
develop community awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal history, culture and achievements Consult and seek advise from the Aboriginal communities, where possible
Stonnington Citizens for Reconciliation meet on the second Tuesday of each month except January, between 6-7.30pm at the Grattan Gardens Community Centre. New members are welcome.
