Interpreter Services

Council is committed to ensuring that telephone and onsite interpreters are provided by staff to assist residents with a low proficiency in English.

It is common practise for staff to provide onsite and telephone interpreters at meetings, consultations and events, and to provide crucial Council information in community languages.

In addition to this, Council provides a multilingual telephone interpreter service for residents. Stonnington CommunityLink is an automated service that provides residents the opportunity to contact Council via an interpreter in their language.
