Rates Payments
The City of Stonnington offers residents a range of options for paying rates. Rates can be paid in one lump sum or in four instalments.
One Lump Sum Payment
Payments must be made by 15 February each year. Residents electing this option will receive one notice in August each year.
Four Instalments
Payments must be made by 30 September, 30 November, 28 February and 31 May each year. Residents electing this option will receive the first instalment notice in August each year. To be eligible to pay rates by instalments and receive the reminder notices for the next three instalments you must pay the first instalment by 30 September each year.
Paying directly from a credit card or savings account
To have rates instalments directly paid from a credit card or savings account download the Direct Debit Application Form below. New applications must be made seven (7) days prior to the instalment payment dates.

eServices - direct payment to the City of Stonnington
Ratepayers with a rate notice showing the property number can pay through eServices. This option also allows multiple council bills to be paid in one payment session, i.e. multiple rate notices, or with your animal registration or sundry debtor invoices. This payment option is via Securepay for credit card payments only (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club cards).

Available to ratepayers with a rate notice showing the BPoint Biller Code of 20198.

Centrepay
Centrepay is a free direct bill paying service available to ratepayers who receive a Centrelink payment. You can arrange to have deductions made via Centrelink to the City of Stonnington to pay your rates.
