Stonnington's Strategic Planning unit is responsible for:

  • The development of land use planning policies and strategies including reviews of the Planning Scheme
  • Research and background study projects
  • Preparation of Structure Plans for Activity Centres, Urban Design Frameworks and specific theme studies
  • Representing Council's views on regional, state and national planning initiatives
