Expanded polystyrene, otherwise known as EPS (the white packaging often found around new appliances), can now be recycled at the Monash Transfer station in Notting Hill. It’s free to drop off small amounts under ½m³ - quantities over this will incur a fee. Please call the Monash Transfer station for further details and charges on 03 9518 3767.

 The following items cannot be disposed of at the Waste Transfer Station:

  • Aerosol cans
  • Asbestos
  • Car bodies
  • Drink containers
  • Gas cylinders
  • Household chemicals
  • Paint tins
  • Tyres
