Waste Education and Minimisation
Waste Minimisation
The City of Stonnington encourages resident to reduce their consumption in order to reduce their waste production. Reducing waste and recycling is a great way to save on energy, water and other resources used in the production of materials.
Recycling
Recycling can also reduce your impact on the environment. Products made from recycled materials can require less energy, water and raw materials than those made from recycled materials. Aluminium cans made from recycled aluminium require 95% less energy to produce than those made from virgin aluminium - that's enough energy to power a television for 3 hours!
