Discover the magic of books this summer and join the Summer Read, Victoria's biggest book group!


Choose from a list of 10 great Victorian books (set in Victoria or by Victorian authors), including fiction, memoirs and true crime.

Read and Grow Baby Storytime

Read_and_grow2

Join our reading program for babies aged 4-18 months. 

 

Rediscover rhymes and singing games, rhythm and re-reading to help you and your baby enjoy books together.  Share reading with your baby, get first pick of the best new baby books and meet other parents over three fun 45-minute sessions.

Pre-school storytimes are held weekly at our libraries.

All sessions start at 11am, no bookings required.

  • Mondays         Prahran Library

  • Tuesdays        Malvern Library 

  • Wednesdays   Toorak/South Yarra Library

  • Thursdays       Phoenix Park Library

Stories, songs and crafts provide 2-5 year olds with a 'reading headstart.' Lots of fun, opportunities to socialise with others and an introduction to a wide range of books.
