Council's Building Control Services Unit administers building control services and functions to meet Council's building control responsibilities. These are carried out through:

• The office of the Municipal Building Surveyor
• Management of Council responsibilities under the Building Act, Local Government Act, Environment Protection Act, Building Regulations and Building Code of Australia.
