Stonnington Waste Transfer Station

 

Stonnington Waste Transfer Station is located adjacent to the Stonnington Depot. The Stonnington Depot is home to a number of other Council services including the animal pound, administration offices and an Environmental Education Centre as well as important community facilities including St John Ambulance and the State Emergency Service.

  •           CFLs and fluoro tubes

  •   Large tree stumps/branches

  •           Car batteries

  •   Car parts

  •           EMPTY chemical drums

  •   Concrete/bricks
  •           Furniture
  •   Garden waste

  •           White goods
  •   Light globes and downlights

  •           Mattresses
  •   EMPTY paint cans

  •           Paper/cardboard

  •   Scrap metal

  •           Textiles
  •   Timber
  •           Tyres
  •   Electronic materials (TV'c, PC's etc)
  •           Mobile phones and batteries

Items in yellow can be disposed of for RECYCLING.

 The following items CANNOT be disposed of at the Waste Transfer Station:

 

       Aerosol cans

       Asbestos

       Car bodies

       Drink containers

       Gas cylinders                     

       Household chemicals
