Christmas in Stonnington 2009  

Each year in December the City of Stonnington has a fantastic range of Christmas events for residents to enjoy during the festive season. The program will feature Christmas Carol concerts at Ardrie Park with a special children's theme, also Carols at Como Park and Central Park.

Stonnington Libraries will hold their very popular Storytime with Santa and Library Christmas Cheer. While Stonnington Aquatic Centres will feature their very popular Swimming with Santa and The Christmas Pool Party.

From 4pm children enjoyed a great selection of children's activities that kept them very busy including: make a Christmas decoration; paint a picture for someone special; dance classes with Holly Hip-Hop, Charity Cheerleader and Anna Ballerina, fun sports activities like egg-and-spoon and sack races and What's the time Mr Wolf; and a ride on a fire engine.

At 6pm the Carols began with Mr. Happy's Christmas show in a special concert for younger families. Hosted by Collin Bogaars with soloists Erin Cornell (winner of the aussietheatre.com Rising Star 2008) and Jeremy Hopkins ('Jeremy Hopkins sings John Thorn') and a performance from the Stonnington City Brass Training Band.
