Showerhead Exchange Program
Council is working in partnership with South East Water, Yarra Valley Water and City West Water to distribute water efficient showerheads within the Stonnington community.
Water efficient showerheads are one of the cheapest and most effective ways to cut household water use. Water efficient showerheads can also save up to $60 per year on water and energy bills.
This program is available to all South East Water, Yarra Valley Water and City West Water customers. South East Water customers are invited to swap as many showerheads as they have showers in their home. City West Water and Yarra Valley Water customers are limited to exchanging two showerheads for each billing address.
To receive your free showerhead, please bring your old showerhead(s) with your water bill to either Prahran Town Hall or Malvern Town Hall between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm. As this is an exchange program, showerheads can only be obtained by handing over your old showerhead(s).
NOTE:
- Three star rated showerheads are not compatible with gravity fed, or some older instantaneous, hot water systems.
- Renters require consent from the property owner prior to exchanging their showerhead and must use a licenced plumber.
- By choosing to participate in the showerhead exchange program, you will not be able to get your original showerhead back once exchanged.
