THE ANVILLES
TheAnvilles
Lurking in the cesspool of the Melbourne music scene, The Anvilles are not your average Psychobilly band. Children of parents
who's parents were musicians, their aim is to entertain you, amuse you, abuse you and accuse you. At 8 years old, in the wee years of their childhood, James, Dom and Darcy jammed in their bedrooms, creating old school rockabilly rock n roll. It wasn't until 2008 when The Anvilles and Louella Deville would meet and discover she must be part of The Anvilles forming the four piece Psychobilly band fuelled by the same desires and ambitions.

By mid 2008, they were jamming and playing shows with their new front woman all around Melbourne. The Anvilles have performed at various venues around Melbourne and played on stage at the Moonee Valley festival and Melbourne's Moonee Valley Youth Festival. Their music has taken on its own style, something they can describe as heavy Psychobilly mixed with Jazz, Blues, Punk Rock, Rock n Roll and of course our beloved Rockabilly. The Anvilles influences range from a array of things darkand dirty, sensual and scary, seductive and sexy, politics, school, lustful thinking, blood sucking vampires and heartbreak.
2009 has been a big year for The Anvilles so far, playing many shows throughout Melbourne. Chapel Off Chapel will be their next stop, a show not to be missed.

Date: 21st December
Time: 7:30pm
Tickets: $22.50 (+ Plus Transaction Fee)
Performance Running Time: Approx 90mins.
