Council to positions in the organisation (s6)

A new Instrument of Delegation was approved by Council on Monday 6 February 2012. This delegation covers a range of powers, duties and functions under specific Acts and Regulations where the delegation must be from the Council direct to the position, rather than through a sub delegation from the Chief Executive Officer. The relevant Acts and Regulations are: 

  • Domestic Animals Act 1994;
  • Environment Protection Act 1970;
  • Food Act 1984;
  • Planning and Environment Act 1987;
  • Rail Safety Act 2006;
  • Road Management Act 2004;
  • Planning and Environment Regulations 2005;
  • Planning and Environment (Fees) Regulations 2000;
  • Road Management (General) Regulations 2005 and
  • Road Management (Works and Infrastructure) Regulations 2005

Council to the Inner Melbourne Action Plan Implementation Committee ("IMAP")

A new Instrument of Delegation was approved by Council on 22 June 2009. The IMAP Terms of Reference are unchanged.

Chief Executive Officer to various positions in the organisation (s7)

A new Instrument of delegation was approved by the Chief Executive Officer on Tuesday 7 February 2012. This delegation also covers powers, duties and functions under a wide range of Acts and Regulations and a range of miscellaneous (i.e.: non statutory) items.

Chief Executive Officer to various positions in the organisation (s13)

A new Instrument of delegation was approved by the Chief Executive Officer on Tuesday 7 February 2012. Many of the powers, duties and functions relate to operational matters connected with Council elections which are routinely managed by the Revenue Co ordinator.
