What attracted you to Council?
Stonnington is a great city. It has been very kind to my family and I and given me great educational, sporting and business opportunities. I would like to give back to the community I grew up in, particularly now I have three growing children.
What do you look forward to achieving during your term?
- Making Stonnington a more livable and safer city;
- Upgrading sporting and recreational facilities;
- Strengthening community services;
- Involving the elderly as active, valued members of the Stonnington community;
- Cleaning up our environment and eliminating graffiti;
- Promoting economic development; and
- Implementing Master Plans for Toorak Road and Chapel Street.
What do you think are some of the major issues facing Council?
- Developing local environmental policies, saving water and encouraging the development of energy efficient buildings;
- Continuing resisting clearway extensions;
- Not to sell of community assets e.g. open space and the Prahran Market;
- Keeping rates down and the budget conservative in these uncertain times; and
- Introducing parking policies that support local businesses and residents.
