IMAP

Melbourne's inner metropolitan councils launched the Inner Melbourne Action Plan (IMAP) on 21 April 2006, which is a metropolitan strategy for Melbourne's growth and development over the next 30 years.

The municipal Councils of Melbourne, Port Phillip, Stonnington and Yarra in association with VicUrban have been supported to undertake this work by a Victorian Government grant of $75,000 as part of the Melbourne 2030 Local Government Assistance Fund - Targeted Grants Program (run by the Department of Sustainability and Environment).

The Plan acknowledges the role inner Melbourne plays as the primary business, retail, sport and entertainment hub for the metropolitan area, as well as its role in supporting a series of thriving residential neighbourhoods.
For further information visit the IMAP pages in the Strategic Planning Project section on this website.
