    Council and local police are working together to actively tackle the problem of billposters within Stonnington. This joint effort has resulted in a sharp rise of the number of offenders detected and prosecuted for breaches of Local Law.

  • Burning Off

    Local Law prohibits the use of incinerators and the lighting of fires (other than in a properly constructed barbecue). For more information please contact Council's Service Centre on Ph: 03 8290 1333.

  • Busking

    12 November 2010

    Generally persons categorised as buskers include music performers, singers and comedians. To perform as a busker in the City of Stonnington you must obtain a permit.

  • Unregistered and Abandoned Vehicles

    12 November 2010

    A person must not leave standing an unregistered vehicle or abandon a vehicle or allow a vehicle to be abandoned on any road, in a parking area provided by Council or on Council land.

  • Footpath Trading

    12 November 2010

    Trader activities on the footpath - such as outdoor dining and the placement of goods or advertising boards on the footpath, are an integral part of the unique shopping experience in Stonnington.
