The Orrong Park Tennis Club consists of six synthetic grass tennis courts with lighting, and is managed by leisure services provider, Bluefit, who offer tennis programs, coaching, run competitions and manage casual court hire to the community.
It has been identified the tennis court surfaces need repair and accessibility needs to be improved, which has presented the opportunity to upgrade the courts and make them multi-purpose - to accommodate tennis and netball. By doing this, we are expanding the community benefit of this local sporting facility.
The main users of the netball courts will be the Prahran Netball Association and its affiliated clubs, who have a large number of local members.
Community-focused tennis programs, coaching, competitions and casual tennis court hire will continue.

April 2022
Excavation for the new courts unearthed contamination which has made it necessary to redesign the facility substructure to comply with environmental recommendations. This will cause an unfortunate delay to the construction timeline with the original estimated completion date of May 2022 revised to October 2022.
