Brookville Gardens/Fairbairn Reserve improvements


Brookville Gardens and Fairbairn Reserve in Toorak are being upgraded following consultation with the community, including surrounding resident and park users surveys, and on-site forums.

Scope of works

  • New skillion style shelter
  • New fencing along Canterbury Road
  • Park lighting
  • More seating
  • Drinking fountain with dog bowl
  • Expanded barbecue area
  • Bluestone and concrete paved entrance from Canterbury Road
  • Upgraded path through Fairbairn Reserve
  • Additional garden bed planting

The parks will be upgraded in stages. The first stage commencing in August 2020 will see delivery of the shelter, barbecue, seating and drinking fountain.

The remaining works, such as new paths, fencing, lighting and planting are scheduled for the end of 2020.

Will access to the park be affected?

Yes. Some areas of the parks will be fenced off during the works. Fencing and signage will be place restricting access to the works zone.

Will access to the dog off-leash area be affected?

Yes. The dog off-leash area will be affected by contractor fencing around the works area, for construction of the shelter and other works.


Where is the nearest dog off-leash area?

There is a recently upgraded dog off-leash area located at Victory Square on Ashleigh Road, Armadale.
