Business resources during COVID-19

Following the Victorian Government’s announcement of a COVID-19 roadmap to reopening, information for business and industry has been published outlining the path and steps required to reopen.

While the roadmap will be implemented by the Victorian Government, we have a number of local initiatives in place to support businesses in Stonnington, including our dedicated mental health support program for owners, managers and employees of businesses.

Victorian Government's Economic Survival Package to support Victorian businesses and workers through the devastating impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Download the Economic Survival Package fact sheet. 
Victorian Government's $500 million Business Support Fund to help small businesses survive the impacts of COVID-19 and keep people in work. Business Victoria's Business Support Fund web page.
Australian Government's JobKeeper Payment program, available to eligible employers, sole traders and other entities. Under the JobKeeper payment, businesses impacted by COVID-19 will be able to access a subsidy to continue paying their employees. The Government will provide a fortnightly payment of $1500 per eligible employee until 27 September 2020. Victoria Police have developed a a Business Security Information Kit to give business retailers basic crime prevention advice to help reduce the occurrence and cost of crime to business.

Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry have put together an information booklet about managing and protecting your employees and workplace, and answering workplace relations and health and safety questions.

To support businesses, the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has also waived membership fees for one year up to a value of $700.

Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation

The Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation have implemented a range of measures to support licensees complying with current restrictions, including changes to liquor license fees .
