Events Permits

Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

Given the current State of Emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the complexities of social distancing and the ban on mass gatherings, City of Stonnington recommend all events within this period being postponed. Please be aware that event organisers need to be able to maintain 4 square metres around each person to allow for social distancing and the number limits placed on mass gatherings at events includes staff, suppliers, caterers and attendees.

Events are a vital part of the cultural fabric of the City of Stonnington. Council offers a number of public parks to community groups for the staging of these events.

In order to ensure events are run safely, the organiser must obtain an event permit.

Prior to planning a community event, activity or festival on council property you will be required to complete an application form.

We are available to assist and advise you during the application process.

Please note, you will need to book a venue for your event prior to submitting an application form
