IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR AFFECTED PROPERTIES

Parking and access

Between 8pm Sunday 13 October and 5am Sunday 27 October, there will be no local or driveway access to High Street properties between Punt Road and Newry Street. Parking on High Street will also be banned.

Affected one-way streets - Charles, Macquarie, Clifton, Mount, Regent and York - will operate as two-way for the duration of the works. To maintain two-way traffic flow, Yarra Trams propose to ban on-street parking on one side of Charles Street, and on both sides of the other streets, however we have requested some sections be kept available for parking.

Street sweeping

From 13 to 27 October street sweeper restrictions will be lifted in streets that intersect with High Street between Punt and Williams roads.

Street sweeping restrictions will be maintained in all other streets in the area.

Pre-work

From Wednesday 9 October, pre-works on High Street from Ivy Street to Victoria Gardens will block High Street access to Lewisham Road North.

Yarra Trams site sheds will be located in Lewisham Road North and Porter Street near the High Street intersections. Property access in these streets will not be affected.

Waste Collection

Residents should continue to place bins out for collection as usual. In situations where the waste truck cannot access a property, Yarra Trams will arrange for bins to be taken to the nearest side street, and returned when emptied.

More information

If residents or businesses have any questions about property access or private waste collection, please contact Yarra Trams on 1800 800 007.
