Music lovers will enjoy a series of free outdoor performances from some of Australia’s most accomplished artists when The Classics concert series returns to Stonnington’s parks and gardens. The concerts cover the genres of Opera (1 February), Broadway (15 February) and Symphony (22 February).
The City of Stonnington was delighted to receive a Move It AUS Community Swimming Grant from the Australian Government and Swimming Australia to partner with Vision Australia to reduce barriers to swimming for people with blindness or low vision.

Mayor of Stonnington Cr Steve Stefanopoulos has announced that proceeds from this years’ Christmas concerts at Central and Como Parks will go to youth LGBTIQ charity Minus18. The charity, provides a network of services and events to support and empower LGBTIQ young people Australia-wide.
A bumper program of sensational free live concerts will bring a feast of music and merriment to Stonnington’s beautiful parks and gardens this January.

South Ward Councillor Steve Stefanopoulos was re-elected for a third term as Mayor of the City of Stonnington and North Ward Councillor John Chandler was elected at Stonnington’s first Deputy Mayor at a Special Council meeting on Thursday 7 November.
