Council meeting live streaming
Welcome to City of Stonnington live streaming
Updated Saturday 4 April
Future meetings of Council
Meetings of Council beyond March 30 have been postponed until further notice, this is part of our efforts to reduce the spread of Coronavirus.
Business that would otherwise have been dealt with at an ordinary meeting will now be dealt with by the City of Stonnington Chief Executive Officer and other senior members of Council staff in accordance with delegations given to them by Councillors. Councillors will continue to meet regularly with the Chief Executive Officer via online technology and will use this forum to speak on behalf of their constituents and inform decisions.
Chief Executive Officer delegated business discussion
The City of Stonnington will live stream a CEO delegated business discussion at 7pm on Monday 6 April 2020.*
This discussion between City of Stonnington Councillors, the Chief Executive Officer and relevant Council officers will inform decisions made by the Chief Executive Officer under the delegation provided by Councillors to ensure continuity of Council business.
Ideally, in the interests of health and safety during COVID-19, scheduled Council meetings would be held remotely, via video conference or similar facility. Unfortunately, the Local Government Act does not allow councils to conduct council meetings in this manner.
We are using technology that will enable this discussion to be live streamed to the public to ensure transparency continues in this challenging environment.
A list of items for discussion is available.
