COVID-19 UPDATE - ADVERTISING

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, Council has opted to extend the advertising period from 14 to 28 days. This will ensure that anyone undertaking self-isolation will not be disadvantaged as a result of timing. Please note, signs will only be required to be displayed for 14 days in accordance with the requirements of the Act, but the date on the signage and mailed notices will reflect 28 days.

Additionally, please note that for the foreseeable future, Planning Notices R Us will be erecting and removing all public notices for Council. You are not required to collect any notices from Council or provide a Statutory Declaration upon completion, as this will be done on your behalf.

As such, a fee of $170.50 will be included in the advertising fee paid for any applications requiring a sign, plus $33 per sign for any additional signs.

Statutory Planning Department Service Operations - Coronavirus (COVID – 19)

On 16 March, a State of Emergency was declared in Victoria over coronavirus (COVID-19).

The City of Stonnington continues to closely monitor the situation, working with the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

The health and safety of our community and staff is the number one priority.

Although the City of Stonnington have established plans in place to respond to pandemics, these plans are continuously reviewed and updated as further information about COVID-19 emerges.

At present the Statutory Planning Department are operating all services, however we have taken a number of measures to reduce the risk of spread of COVID-19.

  • Staff are continuing to work from the office and home
  • All interactions and business should take place via our online portal, telephone or email.
  • Planning Applications are being processed without Consultative meetings.
  • The Planning Counter is now closed to the public.

If you need to be in touch, please contact the Council Planning Officer allocated to your application or alternatively call a member of our Planning Support Team on 8290 3329 or send us an email at council@stonnington.vic.gov.au. To ensure that your correspondence is processed most efficiently, please upload all planning documents & plans via ePlanning  and not directly to the Council Planning Officer.

Should you wish to watch a Council Meeting, these are live streamed and archived on Council’s website.

The Victorian DHHS website is the best source of trusted information if you have any questions about COVID - 19. For the City of Stonnington Council specific updates please refer to our website
