Pets in the Park


Pets in the Park is a free event in March with pet parades, presentations and an array of stalls will offer the latest pet products, health tips and information on responsible pet ownership. This year Pets in the Park was at the south end of Central Park in the Gardens.

Network Ten’s weather presenter Mike Larkan will return as host.

Animal behaviourist Lara Shannon who you may have seen on Network 10’s Pooches at Play, will present Stop Blaming the Dog: How Owners Reinforce Behaviour Problems. Lara doesn’t go anywhere without Dynamite Darcy so expect a visit from Darcy too!


Our friend Axle the Fidget Spinning Staffy will be on hand to show off his skills and assist with the Superstar Competition sponsored by PETstock

Expect the playful opportunity for your hound to take part in amateur racing with the lovable and dynamic Jack Russell Terrier Racing Team


For those who like the more scaly pets, The Rookeepers, will have wildlife encounters where you can meet dingoes, snakes, possums and even baby crocodiles.

There will be an interactive showcase in the demonstration arena including the high bar jump, and the UpDog Frizgility and Canine Frisbee.


This year’s Pets in the Park will include the Superstar Competition sponsored by PETstock.

Pets in the Park is held in conjunction with Chadstone/East Malvern Rotary Club Tastes of France, featuring vintage cars, great food and rides for children.
