Spring into Gardening (October)
Thanks for a great festival. See you next year.
The 2019 program was brimming with inspiration and ideas to get you in the garden this spring.
Most Popular Presenter Logie winner Costa Georgiadis from ABC’s Gardening Australia and enthusiastic garden expert returns to host the festival and said he couldn’t wait to spend more time in the garden this spring. “I love Spring into Gardening because it’s the perfect opportunity to get motivated to be in the garden in the season ahead. You can get your gardening questions answered and meet local specialists with loads of ideas and information,” said Costa.
MasterChef series 7 finalist Sara Oteri, will present ‘Changing the world from your kitchen: steps to reduce food waste and save money’. Passionate about reducing food waste, Sara will go through some tips that help decrease food waste in the kitchen.
Organic Gardener contributor and established author Penny Woodward will share her knowledge on ‘Growing heirloom tomatoes’, on the main stage and ‘Harvesting and curing garlic’ in a stall-based presentation.
Jim Fogarty is passionate that with a changing climate, Australian gardeners need to embrace our own unique flora and geography in modern garden design. Using several projects as a key focus, Jim will explain how he found inspiration to design contemporary Australian gardens that will help you re-imagine the potential in your own backyard in his presentation ‘Australian Plants in Contemporary Design,’ on the main stage.
