The Classics concert series returns in February, bringing the stunning sounds of opera, Broadway and symphony to Stonnington. These free events are the perfect opportunity to see world-class performers and musicians while enjoying the last of the summer sun in our beautiful parks and gardens. 

Whether you’re a classical fan or new to the genres, there is something for everyone to enjoy at these special concert events. 


The Classics: Opera

Puccini's Tosca
Saturday 1 February, from 7.30pm
Victoria Gardens, Prahran 

The picturesque Victoria Gardens will come alive with political thriller Puccini’s Tosca, performed in the round and under the stars.  Featuring a cast of world-class performers and some of Puccini's best-known lyrical arias, this is rare chance to see a classic of Italian opera for free.


The Classics: Broadway

'S Wonderful, featuring Rhonda Burchmore and The Jack Earle Big Band
Saturday 15 February, from 7.30pm
Ardrie Park, Malvern East

Rhonda Burchmore and The Jack Earle Big Band will have Ardrie Park swinging as they pay homage to the Great American Songbook in 'S Wonderful. Expect big-band hits from the likes of Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Irving Berlin, bound to have you tapping your toes and singing along.


The Classics: Symphony

Stonnington Symphony Orchestra and special guest Archie Roach
Saturday 22 February, from 7.30pm 
Malvern Public Gardens, Malvern

The Stonnington Symphony Orchestra presenting a beautiful evening of music alongside very special guest Archie Roach. Enjoy magnificent classics, plus a stirring reimagining of some of Archie Roach's finest songs, in glorious garden surrounds.
