Indigenous ecology walking tour
Explore the sites, sounds, tastes and smells of the Glen Iris Wetlands and KooyongKoot (Gardiners Creek) with your tour guide, Wemba Wergaia man Dean Stewart.
Learn about biodiversity, ecology and bushfoods and begin to picture the land as it once was. If you're lucky you'll hear the croak of the Pobblebonk frog, catch a glimpse of the Superb Fairy-wren or hear the call of the elusive Eastern Spinebill on your way.
This guided tour is part of Regenerating Kooyongkoot, a community-led micro-festival on the banks of Gardiners Creek.
